Merry Christmas from our Home to Yours!

As we experience the undeserved kindness of God today, let's take time to make our homes a place of worship and prayer for the indescribable gift of His mercy and grace shown to us at that first Christmas.
(A great devotional has been uploaded on the church website for you to use with your family - click here)

We send you our love and prayers and are believing with you for God's best as we move into the year 2009.

With Much Love,

The Remington Family
(Randy, Sandy, Joseph, Sam, Thomas and dogs: Scout (the poodle) and Louie (the spaniel) AKA 'Dumb and Dumber'

Dear Sandy and Randy, thank you for welcoming us into your home " so to speak". This holiday season we have not been able to celebrate in the typical fashion, as I have had surgery last month and am not very mobile. Having this blog as made us feel included. We are very grateful to the One who is the Light of the world, and we pray that we would be faithful to let His light shine through us in all that we do and say. Blessed be He, the King of the Universe, the Faithful and True Witness. And may He, the keeper of Israel, bless and keep you close to His heart.

When you think of Christmas not only do you think of our Lord’s birth in a stable but also of family and memories of Christmases past. Both my wife’s family and mine live on the east coast. In 1967 we moved west to serve the Lord in a small church. In just a little over 40 years now we haven’t been with parents or siblings for Christmas. God’s people, the Church, has been our Christmas Family. It’s being in His House with our “Family”, singing His praises and listening to the message of Hope and Love that have created our most wonderful Christmas memories. For the first time since we’ve been coming to Beaverton 4 we were unable to attend a Christmas Eve service due to the weather and the distance we travel. We were hoping that the service would be recorded and available on the web as was done.

Thanks for sharing with us and “enlarging our hearts”.

Christmas Blessing,

Evan & Shirley

Thanks for your comments Evan and Shirley. The entire service will be on the web site (most likely today sometime)so you can participate in and experience the time we had together. It was a special service and I'm glad that those who missed it will be able to join in, albeit a day later, but enjoy it none the less. Blessings.

Merry Christmas! We love this church so much. The Christmas Eve service was wonderful and inspiring. It was worth the bumpy ride there and back! The music was amazing and so moving. We are so blessed to have such talented people willing to serve the Lord with the gift of music. We felt like we had been to a celebration of "light." I liked the simple yet powerful message.
Finally, Thanks to all to take care and watch over the children who come to church. Our daughter is always greeted by name. She is not yet two so she spends most of her time playing. Last night when we went to pick her up a lovely woman was dancing and singing around the room with her in her arms. Carlee was squealing with joy. When the woman brought her to us she said,"do I have to give her up." As a parent of a little one, it means so much to have someone care for your child in that way. Again Thanks so much for the special attention given to the children.

Hi Remingtons,
Great family Christmas photo. Thanks for sharing your heart and home with us at Christmas. I feel so blessed by God to have Beaverton Foursquare as my church family and you as my pastor. May may God bless and keep and shine the light of His presence on you and our church family.
Hugs and prayers,
Debi
